I have a few kcsubaru-related to voice. I am bored and figured I'd stir the drama pot a bit, and this forum needs some action!
I don't understand Ben's (Hans Gruber) thread about Olathe Subaru and craigslist. They are using it as intended and not trying to hide the fact they're a dealer. Is too many results really a bad thing? Maybe try a search with more details than just "subaru"?
The Chris (cseaman) vs. Dylan (photoroller) thing is getting old, no doubt. But I got a chuckle out of the last round (spark plugs). Why do grade A shit talkers like Chris immediately bring up banning somebody that's talking shit on them? Hello pot, hello kettle.
namcu's MKC / wheels thread was just retarded. Name one business that does not require up front payment to get you something they normally don't stock on their shelves. Ryan could have used a little more tact in his (public) reply, but I don't blame him for being upset about getting called out over something so stupid.
Speaking of MKC, the vendor war between them and Hydrolix (Aaron / kcmotorsport.com) is getting a little silly. Most recently, they posted the same press release about the Invidia large diameter manifold, literally within 7 minutes of each other. They have the exact same lines as both are supplied by Keystone / NoAffiliationSTi. Don't get me wrong, we all want parts as cheap as possible, and competition is a good thing. But two shops copy-catting each other just doesn't make sense to me, and is bound to do more harm than good. My prediction is MKC is going to lose it's vendor status soon. It's just a hunch I have but I hope I'm wrong.
Finally, administrators. Does a forum the size of kcsubaru really need six? There are only seven total moderators! Why are Andrew (bizkit642), Chris (12secSTi), and (it hurts me to say this) Steve (zzyzx) still at this user level? I know Patrick (Lunger) has Alan (DevXTech) doing everything now, and I'm much more comfortable about backups and not losing any more data to hacks or other disasters. But having that many (and especially ones that are not regularly in use) is just asking for more trouble.
Welp, I guess that was more than a couple. I do feel better after being able to vent, though!
